Miguel Crespo’s late strike sealed a hard-fought 2-1 dramatic win for Fenerbahçe at the Istanbul derby.
After a lacklustre few months, the atmosphere on Istanbul derby was perfect while Galatasary fans ran a Squid Game tifo before the match.
Kerem Aktürkoğlu’s goal put the homeside ahead at the 17th minute, but ex-German international Mesut Özil put the Derby on leveled terms.
Fenerbahçe defender Marcel Tisserand picked up two yellow cards at the 82th minute and was dismissed.
Galatasaray’s Mbaye Diagne scored a goal in the 84th but it was disallowed after VAR check for a foul in the buildup. And in the 94th minute Crespo found the net to send the visitors into raptures.
Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim received a red card after arguing with the referee in the stoppage time.
Fenerbahce climbed to the fifth spot with 23 points while Galatasaray remained in the eighth spot with 21 points.

Pereira: “We showed that we are a good family”
After a dramatic night at the Ali Sami Yen NEF Stadium, Fenerbahce coach Vitor Pereira said that they are good family.
“It was a though game. We showed a great collaboration on the pitch. I’m happy for the fans, club and chairman. We’ll continue to fight in the next games. Our goal is to reach the League title.”
